Mila Kunis has been confirmed as a guest at the 2012 Spike TV Guys Choice Awards!
The sixth annual event, which features Hollywood’s hottest leading ladies, premier action stars, standout comedians and most unstoppable jocks tapes Saturday, June 2 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA, and premieres Saturday, June 9 at 9:00 p.m., ET/PT on Spike TV.
Mila Kunis is blowing up. There is no better way to describe the career of the Ukrainian-born actress has had since first appearing on That ‘70s Show. Since that program ended, she has appeared opposite a who’s-who of movie actors including Denzel Washington, Jason Segel and Mark Wahlberg. Judging by her reaction by simply mentioning James Franco’s name, it appears her co-star in Oz: The Great and Powerful may be her finest moment. “Look, he is incredible,” she then paused and coyly smiled. “You can look back on any interview I’ve ever done where they mention James… and I just light up.”
Movie Fanatic caught up with Kunis in Las Vegas recently to discuss her work on the new Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) film that takes us to the beginning of the story and informs audiences what made The Wizard of Oz, well… Oz.
Kunis portrays an iconic part in the film, but is tight-lipped about much more than that. Yes, we know she plays a witch, but which one? “She’s a good girl,” Kunis admitted and laughed.
Raimi’s film is not a remake of the original in any form. “It’s a modern day version of it,” Kunis said. Look for viewers to get the inside scoop on The Wizard of Oz story that we don’t know. “It’s going to explain a lot. It’s going to ground the story that everybody loves and knows so well. It will ground it in reality.”
Talking to Kunis, it’s hard to say what meant more to her, working with Raimi or a cast that includes Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Zach Braff.
When it came to her director, Kunis said that she simply wanted to do everything in her power to realize his astounding vision. “I love Sam. He’s a great person. He’s a brilliant director. He’s so visual. He’s so passionate about everything that he does, that you want to make him happy,” Kunis said.
The artistic process of bringing Oz: The Great and Powerful to life clearly inspired Kunis, as she doesn’t stop at raining praise on her co-stars and director when extolling the virtues of her incredible experience filming the movie. “It was mind-blowing to walk on the set everyday and look around at James, Michelle and Rachel,” Kunis said.
“Even forget the cast. Look at our crew. It was top of the line. Every department was the best of the best! At one point James (Franco) and I were riding in one of the carts through Emerald City on the set and we looked at our special effects department. Every single one of those guys has an Oscar. We have the most amazing people working on this film. It was breathtaking. For James and I to legitimately be a part of this, it meant the world.”

Mila Kunis has placed #9 on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women In The World list for 2012!
2012 POSITION: 09
2011 POSITION: 16WINNER OF THE SEXY OSCAR
If you are in any way troubled by Miss Kunis’s elevated position this year, allow us to refer you to the loopy film Black Swan, in which she diddles Natalie Portman into delirium. Watch it, then come back and we’ll talk.Kunis is sensationally hot, sensationally funny (she’s the voice of Meg in Family Guy), harder than us (she’s trained in guns, boxing and martial arts), the flawless face of Christian Dior and more than happy to date normal blokes – she enjoyed a night out with a marine last year, after he propositioned her via YouTube. If she didn’t exist, we’d have to invent her.
Mila Kunis talked to “Extra” at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, you can watch two interviews with her below!
Despite the fact that the stars of Sam Raimi’s buzz-worthy upcoming movie “Oz: The Great and Powerful” aren’t allowed to offer up any specifics about their involvement in the film, we’ve managed to glean a few positive yet mysterious comments here and there.
Such was the case during a recent run-in with the lovely and talented Mila Kunis at CinemaCon, where we learned a little more about her character’s motivations, as well as some teasers about a short-film project Kunis made with her co-star James Franco that she promised will be better than their Funny or Die parody of “The Hills.”
“Sam Raimi [directed the movie]. What else do you need?” Kunis said when asked what else fans should know about the return to Oz. “[Also] James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz,” she added. “That’s all you need.”
And what about her character, Theodora? Is she good and then evil? A nice blend? Who is she?
“She’s a good person who gets her heart broken,” Kunis said. “What happens to young ladies when their heart gets broken?”
Josh Horowitz answered that they turn into horrible evil witches. “You said it, not me,” Kunis said with a smile.
We then brought up her re-teaming with Franco and asked whether they had any downtime during “Oz” to shoot another brilliant short film, à la their “Hills” parody.
“In the process, James and I had another collaboration that may or may not ever see the light of day. That was one of the many shorts that James shoots. That might go down in history as my favorite,” Kunis revealed. “I will not talk about it until it is shown, because that it beat ‘The Hills.’ It’s a whole other short that we shot. It was one of the more fun experiences one could ever have.”
Although Kunis claimed she could not reveal any more details, we asked her to at least tell us what genre the short falls into and offered up horror as a possible category.
“Horror? Horror,” Kunis answered. “It wasn’t dirty,” Kunis added. “In case you’re going in that direction.”

Mila Kunis had her fears about taking on the role of Theodora – The Wicked Witch of the West – in “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” but she loved every second of making the “The Wizard of Oz” of prequel.
“It was great. It’s an amazing movie to be a part of,” she told Access Hollywood at CinemaCon 2012 in Las Vegas, but said taking on the iconic role was “incredibly scary.”
The Sam Raimi-directed project also stars James Franco (Oz) and Michelle Williams (Glinda), who Mila loved working with.
“It was a phenomenal cast,” she beamed. “So, if you’re ever going to take on a risk, you couldn’t ask for a better group of people to do it with.”
The 28-year-old beauty said fashion fanatics will love the movie’s elaborate costumes.
“It really was a stunning wardrobe, it’s all corseted… [it was] truly, truly beautiful,” she added.
“Oz: The Great and Powerful” is slated to hit theaters in March 2013.
After filmmakers Andy and Lana Wachowski tackle the ambitious task of turning “Cloud Atlas” — a hulking novel taking place in six separate time periods from the 19th century to a post-apocalyptic, virtually-technology free future — into a feature film, the siblings will direct “Jupiter Ascending.” While all involved are tight-lipped on the sci-fi flick’s plot, we learned back in March that Warner Bros., the studio behind the project, offered lead roles to Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis.
On Tuesday evening (April 24) at CinemaCon, Kunis herself confirmed that she’ll star in the film, exclusively giving MTV News’ Josh Horowitz the scoop. Before he could even finish his question regarding whether the rumors are true and whether she’s read a script, Kunis nodded her head and blurted out, “Yes.”
“I love them!” she said about the Wachowskis.
When Horowitz joked, “Thanks for spilling all the beans on that one,” Kunis laughed and responded, “Listen, I told you I’m doing it. That’s the most I’ve told anybody.”
When Deadline Hollywood first broke the news of the film, they described it as the Wachowskis’ “first major science fiction action franchise play since ‘The Matrix,’ ” which hopefully means audiences will be treated to a series of movies.
While 2012 seems to be the year of Channing Tatum, with hits like “The Vow,” “21 Jump Street” and the upcoming summer films “Magic Mike” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” Kunis also has a full cinematic plate. She stars in the raunchy comedy “Ted” and the “Wizard of Oz” prequel “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” which stars James Franco, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz.
“Jupiter Ascending” is set to hit theaters in 2014.
